Sur ce premier album les Turnsteak nous offrent des titres aux ambiances léchées penchant clairement vers des artistes comme Moderat (Purpurea, When We Were Young,..) d’autres aux accents plus « UK » qui auraient très bien pu trouver leur place dans les discographies de Night Slugs (Anyday, Woody Wood,…), Tri Angle (High Line,…) ou encore Black Acre (Erotica,…). « Digitale Pourpre » est à ranger à côté du dernier album de Clap ! Following the release of several EPs and cooperations, TuRnStEaK edits his first record « Digitale pourpre » on the label With Us Records.
This album, developing a wild rythmic as its main thread, depicts another idea of club music, useful and pleasant, melting research and efficiency, pleasure and introspection.
As producer, the duet treasures, returns, and shapes noble influences such as house, hip hop and more generally bass music ; with a basis built on 8bit sounds, the result is fully nervous and organic.
On this first album, the Turnsteak guys offer tracks with specific atmospheres influenced by artists like Moderat (« Purpurea », « When We Were Young »,..) ; other titles, more inspired by UK spirit, could become integrated in the discography of Night Slugs (Anyday, Woody Wood,…), Tri Angle (High Line,…) or Black Acre (Erotica,…).
« Digitale Pourpre » is a striking first opus ; it shows another face of TuRnStEaK ; for sure, this charming duet is promised to a bright future.
